It's been quite a week in the news front!  First of all; "Noodleman" would like to extend our regrets and condolences to the families and friends of those who were killed and injured in the Navy Yard shootings, Washington DC.  During this week we've also seen catastrophic flooding in Colorado where yet, even more lives have been lost.  Once again we extend out heart felt sympathies to those who have experienced the loss of loved ones  in this natural disaster.

In the world of religion the Holy Roman Catholic Church under their new Pontiff is experiencing upheavals as the Pope has announced some very new and unexpected changes in the Churches doctrine.  We're still in a state of shock concerning this news and will be waiting to see what will be happening here with the worlds Roman Catholic membership.

As for us here at "Nooldeman", we are working on a new story which is still not ready for posting.  Since we found ourselves in the breach with out a submission for this week, we have decided to bring you the "Washington Funnies"!  We always seem to experience an increase in readership in the past with our "Google Image's" cartoons so we felt this was the way to go again!  We hope you will enjoy these pictorial commentaries and editorial humor.

If "a picture is worth a thousand words" as the old expression says, than what is a cartoon worth?  Especially a political cartoon!  Sometimes these "Rembrandt's" scrawled from the artists pen are able to capture an issue and bring all the complexities involved in Washington politics into crystal clear focus for those of us who are layman and are standing of the sidelines of the games played on capitol hill.

Personally myself I became a fan of the political cartoon during the 1970's in the "Watergate" era.  So many members of the Nixon Cabinet were implicated in the scandal which rocked the White House and Washington.  This cast of characters became so big and there was also the ever present "Deep Throat" who fed the breaking story to the two "Washington Post" reporters Woodward and Bernstein, who broke the story to the American public.  Gary Trudeau's "Doonesbury" seemed to keep up with the breaking news and was always full of humor!  In our case, for today any way, "Deep Throat" will be played by "Google Images"!

Just for fun we thought we should look outside the box, as in the television news box, and try to examine out political system through the eyes of the political satirist.  As always the tickets are free and seats are available in the front row center for those of you in "The Noodleman Group".  No matter who gets hurt, burned, exposed and no matter what the cost, we will go the extra mile to find the truth in it all.  Whether it be the President, those in Congress and their Lobbyist's, The Supreme Court, The IRS, The DOD (Department of Defense), The world of Banking, the Media or even ourselves, we have illustrations for each and every one!

Evidently judging from some of the web sites we visited on "Google Images"; our Blog is not the only one which enjoys a good laugh at the Carney Show in Washington DC!

In a recently discovered audio, Obama being interviewed on MSNBC complains that the GOP is rushing legislation through Congress before one has an opportunity to read the bill.

Obama: “…When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what’s in them…”

Randi Rhodes: “14 pounds was it?”

Obama: “Yea and it gets rushed through without any clear deliberations or debate and I think that this in someways what happened to the Patriot Act…”

Rep. John Conyers, D-MI sees no point in reading 1,000 page ObamaCare, unless one has two lawyers to help interpret the bill.

Not very reassuring, does not instill a lot of confidence in the Democrat controlled Congress.

Most who take the cash will insist that they are not selling their votes and, in most cases, that may be technically correct. The reality, though, is that all that money drives the congressional agenda and buys an open door into the rooms where legislation is crafted. The votes automatically follow.
